Frequently
Asked Questions
What's a Meet & Greet? Meet & Greets are informal 1:1 video calls where you can meet the Partner Medical team, get any questions answered, and give us a chance to learn about you and what you're looking for before you join.
What does a membership cover? The monthly membership covers unrestricted, transparent access to the Partner Medical team's comprehensive primary care service. We're just a call or text away. We are the ones that answer the phone, not an answering service or registration desk.
Do you see children? Yes! Dr Meador and Chris Moag both have expertise in treating children and we are happy to see children of our members whenever they're sick or can't get in to their regular pediatrician.
Can I use my HSA/FSA? Yes. Many HSA/FSA plans will cover the cost of membership. However, you should check with your accountant and HSA/FSA provider to confirm.
Do you have a physical location? At this time we do not have a physical location. Instead, we manage our patients either over the phone (by text, phone or video calls) or by visiting our patients' homes when needed. We find that we can manage a vast majority of issues over the phone, enabling us to respond more quickly when our patients need care. Home visits serve as a backup for when a physical exam or diagnostic test is needed - this too serves as a way for us to deliver the most convenient care possible.
Do you do home visits? Yes. Home visits are included in the membership fee. We will visit our patients' homes for annual physical exams or when we aren't able to take care of an urgent issue over the phone.
Do you accept insurance? You can have any insurance you prefer. However, Partner Medical does not bill any insurance. This removes all the headaches and added barriers to care that insurance creates. This also allows us to keep costs low and to truly focus on you and your health goals. We encourage members to keep some sort of health insurance (e.g. high deductible plans) in case of emergencies or the need for a specialist visit. This tends to be a financially advantageous approach to managing your annual healthcare costs.
How long is a membership? Membership is a 6-month commitment. Fees are billed monthly during that time (or every 6 months for a discount).
What if I need bloodwork or imaging? We order and interpret bloodwork and imaging, using local labs and radiology clinics. We can also perform point-of-care (POC) testing during home visits - this includes things like urine tests for infections and pregnancy, strep tests, EKGs, etc. We are continuously working on expanding our service offerings, which will soon include the ability to do bloodwork during home visits.
What if I need to see a specialist? We have a network of excellent specialists that we consult with for complex medical issues. This often allows us to avoid unnecessary referrals, saving you time and money. When a referral is needed, we have preferred specialists we refer to and can sometime get you seen quickly. We'll also work with to make sure we are finding the best option for your healthcare needs and preferences.
